My Hair routine

Lets jump right in
My Favourite shampoo right now is the Aussie Miracle moist shampoo and conditioner. I love this so much it has done wonders to my awful hair, before I used this my hair was like straw due to my dip dye and lazy hair care routine. If you have dry hair go get it. Its amazing.

Weekly I use the 3 Minute Miracle moist *disclaimer: yes this is the same photo I used in my empties photo but I have repurchased it, I didn't think I would need a new photo for the same product*
I use it once a week as I feel like thats the most effective method. My hair is ridiculously thirsty so I leave it in for 5 minutes in the bottom 3/4's of my hair. This product is the reason I didn't repurchase my Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer. Which for the 100ml less you pay £25 and the actual process you leave the conditioner in for 10-20 minutes. The aussie you pay £5 for 250ml and it only takes 3 minutes to work :D.

This John Freida serum is lasting me forever, and to be honest I know I'm not going to repurchase it, its quite thick and feels to heavy. My favourite serum in the drugstore is the tresemme split remedy serum so I know that is definitely being bought as soon as I get through this. I'm not even half way through now even though I've had it for about two months. Its frizz-ease and thermal protection I have been through a mini of the original frizz-ease which I prefer to this one but you know you have to experiment in products but this wont be a repurchase.

John Frieda Frizz-ease heat defeat.
Its heat defendant what more can I say. I think what I like about this is the spray. So many heat defendants have really strong sprays, the best srapys are from tresemme if you ask me but I love the way this bottle is. The spray is really fine and its so easy to spray on (do you know what i mean?) sometimes I cant handle a stiff standard cap when I'm trying to hold this hair here and this hair here and I need some styling spray etc..

Just want to say I don't wash and blow dry my hair everyday on days when its not freezing cold I try to let it dry naturally. So the heat protectors/styling products are what I use when I blow dry or style my hair.

This product I use if I want a bit of volume so If I'm going out, not for everyday use.

This is the John Frieda Luxurious Volume thickening blow dry lotion. This I spray at the very roots and on the very top layer of my hair. If you put this all through your hair it will make it crunchy and not very nice. This I feel is a nice alternative method of getting volume other than spraying hairspray under the roots of my hair.

Whilst I'm at it I though I'd put a few pictures of my two favourite styling tools. First my Ghd Pink Cherry Blossom. The packaging for these that they came in was so beautiful I didn't want to open it. I have been waiting for a pink ghd to come out. Or something that had hints of pink so It would match my hairdryer and my room. Because I'm weird like that. These I bought off amazon and I love they are the classic gold styler but instead of gold plates it had hot pink plates and it has pink detailing. You can still get them on amazon here

This is my favourtie curling Iron. Creates the best natural curls that aren't to tight and fake they are nice big waves. Its a 38mm barrel and has 4 temperature settings. Its sold on amazon: click here: and its affordable right now on amazon its £15 but the price ranges up to £25 depending on where you buy it.

Empties April 2013

Emptiiess!!!!

I've split them into two sections bathroom/toiletries empties and makeup empties- although makeup only includes one product :(

Toiletries empties
1. Philip Kinglsey Elasticizer- sadly no repurchase.

I love this hair product but its soooo expensive. The only reason I got this one was due to my hair dresser selling it to me half price. I was told this would last me 2 or 3 washes but it actually lasted me 8- yes I counted. Although I do have short thin hair- sadly.
This product is hair mask, you apply it from your ears downwards on wet hair and leave it in for half an hour.
Afterwards my hair felt really soft and clean and lovely- but its too expensive just for "yay my hair feels nice and healthy" although I would love that.

2. Clearasil Daily Clear Skin Perfecting Wash.- likely repurchase

This wash isn't the most effective that I've found but its not far especially as its cheap. I used this everday in the shower it has a "moisturiser complex" which I love! The product is like a cream but with small exfoliating beads. I loved using this in the shower as it was really refreshing and made me feel so cream although it didn't clear my skin of spots completely but I felt like it really helped moisturise, it made my skin feel amazing. It also helped the way my make up sit.

3. Original Source Vanilla Milk and Raspberry shower gel.- DEFINATE repurchase.

All time favourite shower gel, I get through it fast its just sooooo yummy. All I have to say :)

4. Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner.- Already Repurchased.

I love these shampoos and I have already bought them and they are ready to be used- although of course I am currently on "my swap" where I swap shampoos so that my hair doesn't get to "used" to them.

5. Aussie 3 minute miracle- Already Repurchased

This is amazing. Nuff said.

6 & 7. Clean and Clear: dual action moisturiser. Clean and Clear: deep cleansing lotion.

Moisturiser: Repurchase. Works amazingly- and its drugstore. Not to thick not to thin. It absorbs really quickly. All dry skin on my face has suddenly gone. It helps sports as well (hence the dual action). Lovee.

Cleansing lotion: Definite Repurchase: This is probably my favourite skin care product of all time! You apply using a cotton pad and besides it being for sensitive skin it does tingle/sting a little but nothing unbearable. It tightens your pores and leaves your skin feeling polished and smooth.

8. Sure deodorant in clear aqua crystal- sort of repurchase

I just like the smell. And its works. Everyone needs deodorant :) But as I'm all spontaneous I always like to try out the different smells, although this is on that I always come back to.

9. Clearasil Deep Cleansing Pads- unlikely repurchase.

I like them I just feel they don't do as good a job as the Clean and Clear Cleansing lotion. The reason I bought these was that they are nice and compact for travelling- they aren't going to leak and you don't need cotton pads to use it. There are very exfoliating and have a similar affect to the clean and clear. May repurchase for my next holiday. Also I may repurchase as I know I'm going to repurchase the daily scrub (empty number 2) from the same line and I like to keep my skin products from the same line than mixing and matching, because when I do mix and match my skin can't cope (being the extremely sensitive skin that I have)

10. Batiste dry shampoo tropical- definate repurchase.

Yes I have liked everything that I've used up- hence why I have used it all up.
Who doesnt ever need a bit of dry shampoo! I don't only use this on 2nd day hair, I use it when my hair needs a bit of volume. Its also good to use when you have clean hair but you want to curl it, it curls better with a bit of texture- which this dry shampoo gives it.
I have tried every scent and I don't really like any of the scents but this one I feel absorbs into my hair the best and doesn't leave white powder in my hair. Even though I don't like the scent I do get compliments that my hair smells good when I have used this. Plus it's cheap and easy to get in chain supermarkets/ super drug/boots etc....

Toiletries empties done.

Make up empties

There is only one...

1. MAC Pro-longwear concealer. - unlikely repurchase

NOOOOOOO its all gone :( this has been my favourite makeup item for the past.. I dunno since I got it but no more will pump out! I remember the day when the pumps were so big I used to use extra as foundation. I love this concealer. but its just too expensive, although if I pop into the mac store soon enough I may just give it a repurchase but its unlikely as I really want to try erase paste and also the Laura Mercier concealer duo palette thingy. Sorry mac :(.

That was my empties, these empties posts will be comming regularly but not too often (maximum every month). Thanks for reading.

Bourjois Healthy mix DRUGSTORE foundation review

Hi xx

I am so happy I have found my perfect foundation match!

Being pale I have trouble finding the perfect shade.
Being fussy I HATE matte finishes.

Previously I have been living off maybelline dream matte mouse which i now hate, why did i ever try it! But if your one for cakey matte foundations- go for it, it is the uk's number one.

I tried the rimmel wake me up but i felt the shimmer didnt help conceal my spots, sort of illuminated them.

I also tried revlon colorstay due to the massive hype it had. I was in the the colour 150 buff. Again it was a matte foundation, which I dont like. Having gotten 3/5's of the way through my 2nd Revlon Colorstay I decided there must be something better! So in my local boots i did a massive swatch test looking for illuminating foundations, including rimmels match perfection, l'oreals lumi magique, maybellines fit me, and bourjois healthy mix. I swatched them all on to my hands and then half an hour later after doing my other shopping I came back to see which one looked best

Rimmels Match perfection- great colour match but sadly the last bottle in my colour had broken :( and the pump had snapped off.
L'oreals lumi magique- the lightest colour in my boots was good at first but then oxidized to be too dark.
Maybellines fit me- Colour range in this boots was poor only had three colours all too dark- althoguh there is an amazing range on line. But I have a strict rule of not ordering foundations online unless I know my perfect colour.
Bourjois healthy mix- Jackpot, the lightest colour did me well maybe even slightly too light but I do wear bronzer so works out perfect. Really natural glow more on that after pictures.

Sorry about the french.. its english on the other side...

 blended in
I apply with the real techniques buffing brush

This is sold for £10 in boots and superdrug.

It smells amazing- which at first I wasn't so keen on the fact my foundation smells but it makes me feel really fresh and awake.

It applies really smoothly and I like to use the real techniques buffing brush that comes from the core collection (which I may do a separate review on?) ignoring the fact that this really should be used with loose and powder foundations.

It gives a really neutral glow without highlighting my acne. It looks natural and since I have worn it (twice?) people have complimented me on my skin, and one of my friends: "glowy and fresh".I recommended it to my friend having the same problems with drugstore foundations as me and she bought it yesterday and tells me she loves it! I where the shade 51. (FYI my hand is darker and more pink toned than my face)

I have a tricky situation where I have freckles and spots, I want a foundation that covers my spots but doesn't mask all my freckles. The reason being is everybody knows I have freckles so when they are covered it instantly looks as if I'm caked in makeup. This foundation actually seems to do quite well at this- I'm not sure how but I love it.

I love the packaging- glass bottle so feels fancy, but has a pump!! Which feels like such a luxury after being through 2 Revlon Colorstays.

Highly recommend this, I think this is my first bottle of many to come of this foundation.

MUA undress your skin powder highlighter

Hello everyone!!

So, on a sort of recent trip to superdrug I had a little peek a boo at one of my favourites - MUA or Make Up Academy.

They've brought out a new line - the "undress your skin", I was goin to pick up the naked 2 palette dupe Undress me too. But it's of course very similar to the undress me palette which I am extremely loyal too so decided to give it a miss, a decision I regret.

So as I wanted to pick something up but was in a rush I picked up their highlighter. I have wanted to pick up benefits high beam for about three years now, just have never gotten round to it. Quality drugstore highlighters are quite hard to find, the majority being chalky or too fake and sparkly.

This I have used everyday and love

The bluey pink tones have come up as gold in the pictures, but you get the idea

I really really recommend it, it hasn't broken me out or irritated my skin and its drugstore!!! Who doesn't love cheap!

Retails in superdrug for £3

Crescent Row- Benefit

Hi everyone xx

I purchased (quite a while ago now) a Benefit Crescent Row mini perfume collection and I thought I'd share my thoughts with you today.

The set was £30 and includes 4x10ml perfumes.
 1. Garden of Good and Eva
 2. Lookin' to Rock Rita
 3. So hooked on Carmella
 4. Laugh with me Leelee

and ERRR ME GERRRDD they are amazing. Here are some snappies I took x

They also have a cute little poem each .

Garden of Good and Eva poem:

come away with Eva,
breeze down a lush lane,
she's the fresh rush of splendor,
you can't quite explain.
so vividly vibrant
with a carefree demeanor,
she whirls off to a place
"where grasses are greener."
_______
Top notes: pear, watermelon, ozone accords, muguet
Middle notes: rosebud, jasmine petals, green violet leaves, freesia
Bottom notes: sandalwood, musk, cedarwood
Lookin' to Rock Rita poem:
Rita's ready to rock
and dressed to thrill,
with a flavor for risks
brilliant dreams to fulfill.
juiced up on extras
and dazzling fashions
a modern-day paradise
"of shake-it-up passions."
_______
Top notes: lemon, coconut, freesia
Middle notes: juicy fig, hyacinth, violet
Bottom notes: sandalwood, brazilian rosewood, vanilla
So hooked on Carmella poem:
when it comes to carmella
don't ask and don't tell
a light touch has admirers
under her spell
her sweet sensuality
no one would guess
so exquisite, enticing...
"an intimate caress."
_____
Top notes: lemon, grapefruit, rhubarb
Middle notes: cyclamen, peony, tiare flower
Bottom notes: vanilla, sandalwood, amber

Laugh with me Lee Lee poem:

her playful wink
and mischievous smile
the flirtatious side
of her innocent style
no thought or worry
of what's meant to be
first laughter, then love
"... along came LeeLee"
______
Top notes: cassis, melon, citrus.
Middle notes: black violet, lily, jasmine.
Bottom notes: blonde wood, amber, santal.

My favourite of these is "Laugh with me LeeLee", and I have the full size (100ml - £30) but I have actually used it all up, I'm not in a rush to re-purchase as I am currently loving my Viva La Juicy- La Fleur (pictures coming soon). Also if I was to buy another Benefit Perfume, I would definitely purchase Garden of Good and Eva- which I LOVE.

I recommend any of these perfumes, I would also like to mention that they are really good as well as having amazing scents: once sprayed you don't loose the smell immediately- this happens with some Eau de Toilettes, and also there lasting power is really good! I has many compliments when I wore "Laugh with me Lee Lee" as the smell really travelled (a.k.a you didn't have to vigorously sniff my neck/wrist to smell it)

Vaseline review

Bonjour.

So, Vaseline is pretty well known, basically the entire population of the U.K must have owned at least one pot/tin. So being yourselves you must have bought a tin or two, so you know what I'm talking about.

Vaseline is mostly criticised because its not "natural" and has "too many chemicals" or is "too expensive compared to lip balm" but honestly  I LOVE IT. (mainly as lip balm) I've always been a massive fan but haven't really ever experimented with all the different flavours I did once have a crème brûlée flavoured one which I basically ate off my lips whenever I applied it.  SO when I was in Primark and saw this beautiful looking Vaseline tin, I picked it up and got in the half way along the mile-long queue with my bundle of lovely cheap clothing and accessories. Then whilst in boots i just had to pick up the Pink Bubbly!! I thought I'd do a little show and tell :D Please not the Pink Bubbly Vaseline is limited edition and does not come in the Primark Vaseline tin/ trio, i just put it in for fun.....

This is the Crème Brûlée Vaseline
-Not my picture-

So here are a few photos, The last two photos feature my favourite out of the four. I think that vaseline leaves a really nice silky feeling to the lips. They leave a nice smooth sheen and no product gathering in patches or in corners of the mouth. My favourite is the Vaseline Pink Bubbly as I love the smell (sort of the classic vaseline smell with a hint of lemonade and a spark of champagne), aloe vera is a very close second. I use them mainly for lip balm, but the original lip therapy I sometime put on my cuticles when they are dry/ rough before I got to bed (they become much smoother in the morning- but sometimes a bit greasy)
Highly recommend Vaseline- but I'm pretty sure you have all tried it before
